Speedcubing Competitions
Rubik’s Cube speed-solving competitions, known as speedcubing competitions, are held in Finland approximately once a month. All competitions are announced on the official website of the governing body, World Cube Association, at least one month in advance.
Participation in Competitions
Anyone who can solve at least one of the 17 official competition events of the World Cube Association is eligible to participate in speedcubing competitions. Instructions for solving the traditional Rubik’s Cube can be found here. There is no age limit for competitions. Most participants are children and young adults, but some older competitors also take part.
Before registering, each competitor must create their own World Cube Association profile. You can create a profile here.
Registration for each competition must be completed on the competition page that appears on the World Cube Association website. The participation fee varies by competition but is usually between €10 and €20 per competition. No additional licenses or insurance are required.
